The Wolds Rangers Way with Mark Blakeston
The Wold Rangers have a special place in the folklore of rural East Yorkshire and in the hearts of many, especially the older farming generation, who still recall the Rangers visiting their farms. A nomadic tribe of gentlefolk of yesteryear who trod the ancient green lanes and bridle paths of the spectacular Yorkshire Wolds. Rangers, men (and some women) living and at peak time jobs such as harvest before moving on. This has evolved into a Heritage Walking Trail of the Lost Agricultural Labourers, The Wolds Rangers Way, a 44 mile circular walking trail based in Driffield
Mark will also give our members the first opportunity to join one of his Walking Tours. Various circular routes or ‘trods’ range from 3 to 22miles.
