Londesborough Park

Photograph of Londesborough Park, Yorkshire Wolds

The original Elizabethan building, built by the 3rd Earl of Cumberland in 1589, was demolished in 1819 and replaced by the present house. The property eventually passed into the hands of George Hudson, the Railway King, who had a private station installed nearby on the York to Beverley Line.

The estate, encompassing Londesborough Park, is noted for its picturesque landscape and is traversed by the Yorkshire Wolds Way footpath, offering scenic walks through its open pastures.
